Withdrawing your consent
Many processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal is as straightforward as giving consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR); the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected.
Right to lodge a complaint
In the event of infringements of the GDPR you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. Right to data portability, access, rectification and erasure
You have the right to receive data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract in a common, machine-readable format. You may at any time request free information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data, and request its rectification or erasure. 3. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. This website uses three of them, all technically necessary: “consent-hub” stores your choice in the privacy settings, “pll_language” remembers the selected language, and “nitroCachedPage” determines which cached variant is delivered. None of them contains an identifier that would allow your behaviour to be tracked across pages.
Storing and reading information on your device is governed in Luxembourg by the Law of 30 May 2005 on data protection in the electronic communications sector, which transposes the European ePrivacy Directive. Technically necessary cookies are exempt; everything else — here the loading of hCaptcha — requires your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Independently of this you can set your browser to accept cookies only in individual cases or not at all, and to delete them automatically when it closes. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Consent management with Consent Hub
We use Consent Hub, a self-hosted consent management solution. It runs entirely on our own server; no data is transmitted to a provider. Your choice is stored for 182 days in a cookie named “consent-hub” on your device.
You may withdraw or later grant your consent at any time via the privacy settings. Withdrawal is as straightforward as giving consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR); the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected.
hCaptcha
Our forms are protected against automated entries by hCaptcha. The provider is Intuition Machines, Inc., 350 Alabama St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. hCaptcha checks whether an entry was made by a human; for this purpose your IP address, information about your device and browser and your behaviour on the page are transmitted to Intuition Machines and evaluated there. Cookies may be set in the process. A transfer to the USA takes place.
hCaptcha is only loaded once you have released it. Until then nothing is transmitted to Intuition Machines and the contact form cannot be submitted. In that case you can reach us via the channels named in the legal notice, in particular by e-mail or telephone; this puts you at no disadvantage. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures; otherwise it is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to erase it, withdraw your consent, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions — retention periods in particular — remain unaffected.
Enquiry by e-mail or telephone
If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your enquiry including all resulting personal data will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
4. Acceleration of page delivery
To ensure that our pages load quickly we use NitroPack. The service is operated by WPEngine, Inc., 504 Lavaca St #1000, Austin, TX 78701, USA. When a page is requested, your browser transmits to NitroPack the address called up together with technical information on browser, operating system, language, country of access and time; the connection itself also transmits your IP address and browser identifier. This information serves solely to deliver and improve the pages, not to recognise individuals and not for advertising.
The “nitroCachedPage” cookie set in this process contains no identifier, only a technical value for selecting the cache variant. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a fast and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with the provider; WP Engine is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details at wpengine.com/legal/dpa.
